Aerospace Quality Engineer (3 month contract initially)

Job Description

• Support Customer and Regulatory Authority visits and audits.
• Conduct Internal and supplier product and systems audits.
• Drive QMS and product improvements via Corrective Action System.
• Facilitate quality investigations following an 8D methodology where required.
• Present findings of quality investigations in a clear and concise manner.
• Support the maintenance and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS)

Facilitate / participate in continuous improvement activities using quality tools such as, but not limited to:

• Process Capability studies / SPC, Gauge R & R, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s, 5S, Kaizen Events

Aerospace Quality Engineer (3 month contract initially)

Key skills

• Support Quality Clinics and assist in Material Review Board (MRB) dispositions.
• Assist with final inspection product overchecks to customers specifications where required.
• Collate and analyse Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
• Manage / conduct activities in support of New Product Introduction (NPI) these include First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR’s) and quality related PAPP elements.
• Support activities where required to obtain “Supplier Gold” status with key customers
• Visual FAIR/Visual PPAP/RDE owner (software/process only)
• Create/Review/Update inspection control plans as required for Goods Inwards and Internal Manufacturing processes.
• Work with software providers and personnel to continually develop the software.
• Provide internal software/process support and training
• Work with suppliers where required to develop/support software/process implementation/development
• Work with Quality, manufacturing, engineering and operations personnel to support improvement activities such as capability studies, MSA, process certification.
• Using variable and attribute data extracted from the VIPI system, assess, analyse and validate the quality of data supplied.
• Perform analysis developing graphical and numerical memo’s and reports.
• Liaise with engineering to support drawing amendments (ECRBs)
• Support RCCA process with data extracts from VIPI systems.
• Support the creation, storage and management of site first article (FAIR) and PPAP documentation.
• Cleanse data as required
• Provide technical administrative support to the quality function when required.
• Support QMS Quality Engineer in development/administration of site Navigator
• Support QMS Quality Engineer in writing/developing QMS procedures.
• Any other tasks considered commensurate with your role by your Manager.
