Admissions Administrator (Part Time)
This post is within the Graduate Admissions Office, which co-ordinates applications for admissions to graduate courses, makes formal offers of admission and confirms places for students who meet all the requirements for admission.
The Admissions Administrator is responsible for facilitating the smooth progression of applications to Graduate Study; answering enquiries about this process from applicants, departments, degree committees, Colleges and funding bodies. The Admissions Administrator carries out the quality assurance checking and offer-making process for all applicants; checks and processes documentation submitted as evidence to meet offer conditions; confirms applicants' admissions once all offer conditions have been satisfactorily met; and processes the CAS for students requiring visas. The role holder is required to provide a high level of service and customer care to all staff and potential students.
You will be educated to degree level, or with equivalent experience, with an understanding of educational contexts, the structure of graduate education systems and policy, and related immigration legislation. You must also have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of academic staff, students, administrative staff and members of the public making enquiries by email, telephone and face to face.
