Administrator (Part Time, Fixed Term)


We require an experienced, reliable and well organised person to work as an Assistant Administrator at the Centre for Family Research, assisting the Department Administrator with the daily running of the Centre, supporting members with their research, maintaining and updating our website and providing PA services for Deputy Director Professor Claire Hughes.

The ideal person for this post will have experience of working in an office environment and will be educated ideally to degree level. Essential skills to include a knowledge of Microsoft Office, a high standard of written and spoken English and the ability to manage their own time, and a wide variety of demands and tasks.

The Centre for Family Research provides a warm and friendly working environment and comprises more than 30 researchers working on psychological and social aspects of family life. Research areas include the early social development of children, parent-child relationships and the psychological well being of children in non-traditional families. The nature of much of the research in the CFR means members should be tolerant of liberal attitudes to new reproductive technologies and diversity in family life.
