Account Manager - Microbiology

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Account Manager - Microbiology covering Oxford and the South UK to join one of the leading names in Life Sciences. As the Oxford and South UK Account Manager - Microbiology you will be responsible developing and implementing a sales plan for your territory to achieving sales targets of the Microbiology portfolio.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Oxford and South UK Account Manager - Microbiology will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. Develop and deliver a territory sales plan for the Microbiology portfolio to clinical laboratories in order to achieve sales targets. 

2. You will be working cross-functionally to maximise sales of Microbiology range within the HPA, NHS Laboratories and Private Sector Healthcare laboratories to achieve the company target. 

3. You will work cross-functionally with the training / application specialists and product management to obtain successful instrument business.

4. You will accurately report progress of opportunities and activity on your territory to the sales manager and you are encouraged to take initiative and personal responsibility to add value to customers.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Oxford and South UK Account Manager - Microbiology we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Science subject such as Microbiology, Biological Science, Life Science, Immunology or similar.

2. Proven industry experience in Scientific Sales, selling into NHS and clinical laboratories. 

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with microbiology and molecular biology gained through general lab experience and an extensive knowledge of the NHS.
